Congratulations to Anthony Salangsang who had his personal best in the Long Beach Marathon last Sunday in 3:08!

There was enough interest in racing the USATF Masters Cross Country Nationals in Portland, Or Dec 7th that we will be fielding a few women’s teams! Those committed to racing Dec 7th need to get some xc spikes asap..we recommend either these: https://www.runningwarehouse.com/Nike_ZoomX_Dragonfly_XC_Spikes/descpage-NZXDXC6.html

Or these: https://www.runningwarehouse.com/On_Cloudspike_XC_Spikes/descpage-O1CSXM0.html

FYI, The Nike spikes are a bit on the narrow side even a half size small. The On’s run more true to size.

Hi, Congrats to all the SBRR Berlin Marathoners as they made SBRR proud in sunny hot conditions….results posted Friday!

I am out of town this week, so here is the workout for Tuesday AM folks:

warmup 2-4miles (depending on weekly mileage), strides x 5, then in lane 4, 5, 6 or 7 (unless you fit time wise with those that know their specific times in lane 1)….12x1lap (although the distance varies in those lanes….for purposes of this workout that’s unimportant) with 60sec between each……alternate effort levels every other lap….for example: #1 at 5K race effort, #2 6-8sec slower, #3 at 5K race effort, #4 6-8sec slower etc for 12x1lap total…

2-4mi cooldown

Saturday 9/20/25

Hi, We have talked about racing the XC Nationals in Dec….however, the deepest and most competitive fields with the most energy is happening Jan 11th, 2026 in Tallahassee, FL this year which is 16 weeks from now

https://www.usatf.org/events/2025/2025-26-usatf-national-club-cross-country-champion

The great thing about doing this race is it gives us more time to train appropriately as well as gives those racing Fall marathons who also want to race Cross Country more time to prepare. The Club Cross-Country Nationals will be held the day after the World Cross-Country Champs on the same course! This is generally considered the most competitive distance race in the world with the best runners in the world Competing here so it’ll be fun for us to see this on Saturday and race on Sunday!

https://worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-cross-country-championships/tallahassee26

Please fill out the form below if interested and we will get working! Any age, any experience level, do not be intimidated as we will do well:

Good Luck to all Berlin Marathoners! Follow them here:
